The Chrysallis Project
The Chrysalis Project is the photo-journalistic journey of Professional Makeup Artist, Heather Spataro, her weight loss over the course of one year and the documentation of her 10 year struggle with morbid obesity.

"I had no intention of anyone ever seeing these photos. I just wanted a reminder of where I had been and the journey I took to get where I am now. However, once I viewed the photos and saw how shocking the metamorphosis was I started sharing them with close family/ friends who were, in turn, inspired to take action for themselves. From there, my Chrysalis took on a life of its own. It gave me the courage to openly share my story empowering others to make a change. I want to share my experience and hopefully inspire others to take hold of their lives and invest in themselves. I want everyone to experience the happiness I have found" ~Heather
